Maripepa Contreras is one of the very few jazz oboists in the world. She is definitely “something else” in the best possible way: with Spanish roots, classically trained, studies in jazz and a passion for Brazilian music. She was awarded a prize by DownBeat Magazine with her jazz quintet. Currently, she dedicates herself entirely to music as a performer, composer, arranger and teacher.
